  1.     ACT! cannot establish communication with the HP Palmtop.  Check the following:

  4. 1 - Make sure the connectivity cable is securely attached.
  5.  
  6. 2 - On the PC, make sure you have selected the correct COM port in the Direct
  7.      Link Settings dialog.
  8.  
  9. 3 - On the HP, make sure that the correct speed is selected under Edit, Options,
  10.      Remote.  If the arrow appears next to 'Other', the speed is correct - press
  11.      Escape.  If the arrow appears next to 'DOS', press 'N' for Normal.

  13. 4 - On the HP, make sure that ACT! is running and that File, Remote is selected.
